The Wateford girls played with a stiff wind in the first half, but were unable to capitalise on it. As they missed a few chances at goal, even though they held Derry on a score line at half time of Waterford 0- 5 to Derrys 0 - 1.
The second half started with Michelle Tobin plucking the ball from the air and putting it over the bar to score a beautiful point. It looked good for the Waterford side at this stage, but Derry pulled out all the stops and used the wind to their advantage and did not make many mistakes, scoring 4 - 9 withput reply. Waterford didnt score for the rest of this half untill the last minute when sub Ciara Moore scored a cracker of a goal, ending the game on a score line of Waterford 1 - 6 Derry 4 - 10
