ALL IRELAND U16 CHAMPIONSHIP
On Sunday April 12th Waterfords u16s played the second round of the u16 All Ireland Championship against Carlow in Walsh Park. This was a match that they had to win to keep their hopes of qualification alive.
The first half started with Waterford getting a few chances but failing to score. Likewise Carlow also failed to score. After about 10mins Waterford registered the first score of the game with a point followed by a goal, before Carlow responding with a goal and a point also. Waterford ended the first half with a point, leaving the half time score Waterford 1 - 2 Carlow 1 - 1.
Points were exchanged beween both teams in the second half making the score Waterford 1 - 5 Carlow 1 - 3 as the game was held on the balance. But Watrford fought back hitting the back of the Carlow net with two late goals to end the game on a score line of Waterford 3 - 5 to Carlows 1 - 3..
